Mobile video installation in public space: The team

In Shanghai Night Watch was part of Intrude 366, an ambitious year long public art project organized by the Zendai MoMA. This iteration of Night Watch launched as a true "intrusion" into public space. When permission to project the video suddenly was refused without explanation curator Biljana Ciric and the artist decided to go "unofficial" and mobile. Strategic sites were identified and a van equipped with a generator, video projector and a team of 7 was made operational. We activated 7 sites in 2 nights. The process of parking the van on the sidewalk, rolling out the generator on a dolly, setting up the projector, focusing and masking the video image turned out to be a fairly smooth operation.
