Please do not send me email about this forum while this forum is ongoing
because I think it important to develop a procedure to discuss space
openly. That the usual Beaus Arts critique technique is not followed
is, I believe, an improvement in human communication.
Remember, as DocumentaX began, the stage was rushed by some nut
screaming about some injustice or other. Maybe he was a potential
assassin, maybe he had a point? Who knows? He was removed from the
little auditorium because he was a nuisance to speaker and upset the
protocol. I wish we knew who he was and allowed him to say his piece
online.
It would not be too much to read. I read the NY Times everyday.
Also, the procedure of criticism which is common in my life gives the
critic the last word and the artist or student is not actually given any
meaningful chance to hit back. Here online the critic does not have the
last word and the college professor does not have arbitrary authority.
The image is not as dishonest as the passive viewer gets with a
commercial, nor as subconscious. The crazy person does not confront a
security guard, rather we have several psychologists.
Why refer people to me and my email? I don't have the space and Ziplink,
my server, has, as I have recently posted, already decreased my service
and increased their threats to my account.
This sort of forum my not happen in the future. It rather depends on
what "we" figure out.
Please feel free to experience some unacceptable positions; remember
when most architects and designers felt computers generally
unacceptable? I do. There is a little experiment going on here which is
not intentional yet unavoidable it seems. I don't mind! The image is
being born, to some extent. Just how is wonderful and mysterious. How?
