could you elaborate on that which might constitute this larger self/space
within which one's identity and space (e)merge through the creative act(s)?
how would you articulate the event of this emergence? to what degree would
you say that distinctions between self and space dissipate within this
larger (social?) landscape? completely (as in warhol's case)? or partially
(as with Zeno, who through habitually quitting smoking, perpetually returns
to his (conflicted) desire for self-transformation and emergence, never to
be satisfied)? further, i'm interested in how this relationship displaces
the locus of (what i would describe as i heightened) perception from the
self and distributes it across the network of self/spaces we negotiate
daily...

with regard to a 'warhol for living'/'ultima-sigaretta', it's interesting
to reflect on the duration of his 'scintilation' with respect to the
vehicles (commercialism and technolgies of representation) he engaged
himself with. it's too bad he's no longer around... i'd love to bear
witness to the course of his navigation through that network, given it's
acceleration over the past decade... i often wonder about what happens when
the frequency of self(re)emergence accelerates to the point where , in one
sense, every cigarette becomes la ultima sigaretta...
