mapped into technology. The structure of the various Microsoft operating
systems are an inscription of all the jobs, product plans, and career
ambitions of persons flying about a fictitious site known as "Microsoft."
The whole resembles more of a coral reef than a single corporate body.
Similarly for all the other co's, including Linux.
