THURSDAY, AUGUST 6 1998, 7 PM, OLD ST. PATRICK'S CATHEDRAL YOUTH CENTER, 268 MULBERRY STREET: LINA NOISE COMMITTEE MEETING

On the agenda, among other topics: application for a license pending with the State Liquor Authority by 229 Elizabeth Corporation. That is: the former BELLA's. The owners of Rialto are planning to open a 24 hours diner and are applying for a liquor license. They are smoothly moving along the process: in spite of their record of being a perennial nuisance to their neighbors, they have made contact with the office of Council Member Kathryn Freed to request they contact us to set up a meeting with the community (the gall) and with St. Patrick's, parading their vaunted good citizenship. We need to discuss our conduct in this matter. This issue will also be discussed at the meeting of

MANHATTAN COMMUNITY BOARD 2 BUSINESS AND INSTITUTIONS COMMITTEE / EXECUTIVE COMMITTEE IN LIEU OF FULL BOARD MEETING

THURSDAY, AUGUST 20 1998, 7 PM, NYU MAIN BUILDING, 100 WASHINGTON SQUARE EAST (ENTRANCES ON WASHINGTON PLACE AND WAVERLY PLACE) ROOM 809

THIS MEETING IS CRUCIAL: IN ONE FELL SWOOP, COMMUNITY BOARD APPROVAL OF THIS APPLICATION WILL BE FINALIZED, UNLESS THERE IS A STRONG SHOWING BY THE COMMUNITY. IF YOU THINK WE NEED ANOTHER LIQUOR LICENSE, WITHIN 50 FEET (NOT 500) OF 3 OTHERS, STAY HOME AND DON'T TELL YOUR ACQUAINTANCES THAT LIVE ON THAT CORNER. IF YOU DON'T, GET INVOLVED!
