Sports Drawings by Matta from the Fifties
May 16 through June 15, 1996


mam/fa presents an exhibitions of drawings and prints by Matta with sports themes. Created during the mid-1950's, these works have not been seen for over forty years. Matta's ability to capture the essence of each sport in just a few lines will amuse and delight the viewer.

Born in Chile in 1911, Matta is considered the last great living surrealist. His work appears in important museum and private collections around the world.
