Landless Outpost/Functional Prison Object That Fills Itself With The Life Of Others

the ROM is a survival system of associations initiated here by the relationship of a people to their world

"Native American Tribes without sovereignty rights, federal recognition or a land base is like the average American family without a home, without an opportunity to educate their children, and without an economic base to better their families for the 21st. century."

"Landless Outpost/Functional Prison Object That Fills Itself With The Life Of Others" is a sculptural work in progress. A collaboration by Jesse Cooday and Stephen Thurston, it's a 15ft. tall functioning tower that, when installed, will house internet access eguipment with which the participant can enter the "Landless Outpost..." website ( of which this is the germ). The site will be fed with live video from the Seet-kah, Alaska Landless Community, and be maintained as an information exchange arena and "clearing-house" specific to Landless-related material. Live video from the tower itself ( wherever in the world it might at that time be installed ) will provide 'net participants with a visual connection to the tower.
