Re: <eyebeam><blast> public space and resistance

Eric Lifton writes about the implications for the public-ness of the Net
of high speed connections,..etc. Yes, I think this type of segmentation
in the capacities that the Net will put at the disposal who can pay for
it, is a serious issue. One of the keys will be indeed to do more
politics on the Net. Does this mean relocating your political
consciousness? I would think it is rather caputring the specific of pol.
action that are possible on the Net. I return to my point on at least
one of the specifics the Net offers: simulataneous local action around
the globe, with the possibility of being present to each other. This
overrides national based politics, and overrides the universailzing
approach to matters.
